You can quickly add distance between you and the mat - getting your dog to stay and show self control! That's what this is all about! 

If a tiny 9 week old puppy can do this, so can your adult dog! 

So in this lesson, we teach the pup to return to the mat, even when it's farther away from us. AND he learns to stay on the mat, even for a duration of time. It's all done with gradual, but fun steps. 

Near the end we start adding a cue to our new behavior of getting on the mat. Mine is "Get on your bed" But you can choose anything. Like "relax".
